In early June of 2008 I had the opportunity to partner with a nonprofit organization called FLASHES OF HOPE. The mission of the organization is to provide uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Through photography FLASHES OF HOPE seeks to help the children feel better about their changing appearance by celebrating it. To preserve forever the bravery, grace and dignity of the child in photographs.
This particular shoot was organized through THE VALERIE FUND which operates clinics at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Overlook Hospital, St. Barnabus Hospital, Newark Beth Israel Hospital and Monmouth Medical Center. THE VALERIE FUND was organized to provide local ongoing treatment for children with cancer.
